Bridges Summer Kinder Bridge

Summer Kinder/TK Bridge is a 4 week (June 8 - July 3), full day program (8:30am-2:30pm) that focuses on preparing children for Kindergarten, engaging families with the school community and supporting children’s health and social emotional needs.

Through intentional play-based learning with an adapted Creative Curriculum, children can be more prepared to enter Kindergarten. Students in Summer Kinder/TK Bridge are exposed to early literacy skills and begin learning phonemic awareness and the alphabet through play and exploration.

At a 1:5 ratio, children have the opportunity to build relationships with other students and teachers and practice separating from their families at drop-off. They will familiarize themselves with the classroom setting and learn to transition to and from recess/lunch time activities.

Families practice routines such as coming to school on-time, communicating with teachers through orientation and a family huddle.
